Roman Catholicism in the Solomon Islands

The Roman Catholic Church in the Solomon Islands is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the Pope and curia in Rome.

There are just over 90,000 Catholics in the Solomon Islands - just under a quarter of the total population. The country is divided into three dioceses including one archdiocese. Solomon Islands sent a delegation of young people for the first time to World Youth Day 2008 when it was held in Sydney, Australia.[1]
